The Indians watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 7-1 loss to Gainesville on Saturday. Gainesville took the lead on a groundout in the first inning.
The Indians struggled to put runs on the board and had a tough time defensively containing Gainesville, giving up seven runs.
Gainesville put the game out of reach scoring four runs in the fourth inning.
Cruz Mullinix took the loss for Indians while going three and two-thirds innings, allowing six hits and striking out six.
Ben Stowe led the Indians with two hits in three at bats.
