Indians nabbed the lead late in the game in a 3-2 victory over Habersham Central on Saturday. The game was tied at two with Indians batting in the top of the seventh when Rhett Addis threw a wild pitch allowing one run across the plate for Indians.
The pitching was strong on both sides. The Indians pitchers struck out nine, while Habersham Central pitchers sat down eight.
The Indians evened things up at two in the top of the sixth inning when Ian Rumsey singled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.
Ayden Garmon earned the win for Indians going six innings, allowing four hits and two runs while striking out nine. Nick Randall threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen. Randall recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Indians.
Logan Hare took the loss for Habersham Central.
Cruz Mullinix led the Indians with two hits in four at bats.
